South Hams District Council closed the public toilets in 2018. A group of local residents are trying to purchase these building - which have been registered as Community Assets - in order to reopen them with disabled facilities and also with community space which could be used for a variety of activities.

Ugborough Public Toilets
Ideally the left hand toilet is renovated to create a well equiped disabled toilet with baby change facilities whilst the right hand side is community space for a Community Fride, Share shed etc.

Bittaford Public Toilets
Tucked away under the viaduct these toilets could also offer full disabled facilities with a new ramp for access instead of the current steps. The rest of the building can be used for a variety of community uses.
