We’ve a Mobility and Transport working group who support the reduction of local reliance on cars and encourage Active Travel. Our main ambition is for a speed limit reduction through Ugborough Village from 30-20 mph (which has been petitioned for by local school children). Ugborough Primary School is in support of this – it would make it safer for children during school drop off/pick up and when local events such as Harvest and Christmas concerts prompt pupils to cross the village together on foot. The Parish Council are liaising with Devon County Council.

We are also interested in how walking/cycling/riding between Ugborough and Bittaford can be encouraged/made safer.
